Our Burnaby client has been in business for over 75 years and has over 10 locations across Western Canada. They have an excellent opportunity available for a Financial Analyst to join their growing team. Reporting to the Manager of FP&A, you will be responsible for various finance areas such as: planning, controlling, forecasting, reporting and measuring accounting data, financial information and assets of the organization. Your duties and responsibilities will include: assist in the development of the annual budget and quarterly forecast, create and maintain detailed planning templates used in budgeting and forecasting, develop models to measure and perform analysis of financial results against budgets/forecasts, prepare financial operating results for monthly reporting which includes analysis and identifying key trends/variance, create/modify and ensure the data integrity of various monthly management reports for operations/branch managers and head office. You will also be involved with performing complex financial analysis, testing of internal control procedures and assisting with the completion of year end and other audits. Candidates should be designated or be in the final stages of the CPA program with several years of progressive experience in a financial analyst role, have advanced Excel skills and excellent analytical skills.
