Hands‑On Accountant – Real Estate & Investments – Vancouver (Kerrisdale)

Our client is a privately owned group of companies with diversified assets across residential real estate, investment portfolios, stocks, bonds, and trusts in Canada, the U.S., and Europe. They are seeking a Hands‑On Accountant to join their Kerrisdale office and manage full‑cycle accounting for multiple entities.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the owner, you will be the sole on‑site accounting professional responsible for day‑to‑day financial operations.

Full‑cycle accounting for multiple companies including:

-Accounts payable and receivable

-Managing a small payroll including government remittances

-Multi‑currency bank reconciliations

-General ledger maintenance and journal entries

-Intercompany reconciliations

-Foreign exchange calculations

-GST remittances

-Monthly financial statement preparation

-Year‑end support for external accountants

-Trust account management

-Reconciliation of various investment portfolios

Qualifications

-CPA designation or post‑secondary accounting education with several years of progressive full‑charge accounting experience

-Strong multi‑entity and multi‑currency experience

-High level of accuracy, independence, and ownership of work
